Information on the confidentiality of personal data

Below we explain what information is acquired during your visit to our Internet pages and how it will be used.

Personal data
Personal data are individual data concerning the personal or material relationships of an identified or identifiable physical person. These include information such as, for example, your actual name, address, telephone number and date of birth. Information not directly concerning your actual identity such as, for example, your favourite web pages or the number of times you use a page, do not come under the category of personal data.

Personal data collection and processing
During your visit to our web pages, data are collected in log files by search engines and by forms. For security purposes, our web servers usually store the connection data of the person requesting access, the pages visited, the date and duration of the visit, the identification data of the type of Internet browser and operating system used, as well as the source web page. Personal details concerning the name, address, telephone number or e-mail address will not be acquired unless voluntarily provided by you, for example, for registration, for a survey, a competition or to execute a contract or request for information.

Use and transfer of personal data
Any personal data made available are used exclusively for the purpose of technically managing the website and to meet your wishes and needs as well as, obviously, to carry out commercial procedures or to answer your requests. Once your consent has been given or, when permitted by law, no objection has been expressed, we will use your data for surveys on products and for marketing purposes. Your data will not be divulged, disclosed, sold or in any other way transferred to external bodies other than Italbox, unless it is required for implementing a contract or unless your consent has been provided in writing.

Deleting data
As soon as your data are no longer required for the purposes mentioned above, including invoicing, they will be deleted. We would point out that the data are initially blocked and, after a certain period of time, definitively deleted. This is to prevent any intentional damage or accidental deletion. The data may be duplicated by the customer care service in back-up and mirror files. These copies are, in any case, deleted after a period of time established on a technical basis.

Cookies
When you visit one of our web pages, some information may be transferred to your computer in the form of cookies. Cookies allow us, for example, to adapt a web page to your interests or to memorize your password so that you are not obliged to enter it again each time. If you do not want your computer to be recognized, set your Internet browser so that it deletes cookies from your PC hard disc and blocks all cookies or warns you before a cookie is saved.

Web analysis
For analytical purposes we use software that analyses statistical data. The user data are supplied anonymously. The software uses cookies, text files which are saved on your computer and permit analysis of your use of the website. Information produced by means of cookies is saved concerning your use of this website. This information allow us to evaluate your use of our site and to analyse website activities. To do this, we use the “Piwick” open source program. This means that data will not be communicated to third parties and therefore there is no risk of these data being merged with other personal information.

Right to information/Right to withdraw
When requested in writing, we will inform you of the type of data we have stored about you (e.g. name, address etc.) and the purpose for which we use it. You are entitled to object to the use of your data for marketing purposes, without you having expressly given your consent. We will block the data used for this purpose. Once you have given your consent for data to be used for sending advertising material to your e-mail address or by telephone, you may at any time withdraw it for future effect.
